What makes a VA Loan lender ideal to work with? Experience, service, and a good reputation for starters, but there is so much more. She has to be honest and detailed; your negotiator, educator and friend all rolled into one very compassionate, but tenacious woman – one who exceeds all expectations – all the reasons necessary to refer her to your friends, family, or clients who are considering buying a home or doing a re-fi through the VA Home Loan Program.
As a former military spouse Tiare understands the unique demands and stress service families are faced with when relocating. She considers it an honor to assist our veterans and active duty military personnel and their families; whether relocating, a local move or lowering their monthly payment by refinancing. Oahu’s Realtors prefer working with Tiare as a VA loan officer because they can trust her 20+ years of industry knowledge. She enjoys working hands on with each aspect that is important to your family, from the best neighborhoods, to the top rated schools. Through her caring approach and a firm belief in doing things right the first time, Tiare aims to make your mortgage experience as stress free as possible.
Tiare Fullerton is the person to turn to for all you Hawaii VA Home Loan needs. Whether you are a referral – a compliment within itself, or just happen to come across Tiare, she is Hawaii’s resource and VA lender when it comes to Hawaii VA Home Loans! Tiare is the Realtor’s loan advisor. Oahu’s Realtors prefer Tiare as the VA loan officer they can trust because she has extraordinary industry knowledge, is a creative problem solver, believes in doing it the right way the first time, and, above all else, she cares. She is also very hands on and will guide your family through the entire process with a very caring approach. Realtors know that they can count on Tiare to help their clients close on their VA Loan home purchases with as little stress as possible. Tiare states:
“I reduce the stress as much as possible by walking you through the process, step-by-step so you are informed with no surprises.”
Unique among VA loan lenders, once the home closes, Tiare remains in touch, always informing and educating about loans and what may help you down the road. Tiare didn’t just walk into this profession; she literally started on the ground floor of the industry in 1992. She has worked in the accounting department of a nonprofit, as a loan processor for IMC Funding Group, as a vault teller for Bank of America in Japan, and as a loan processor (knowing how to present the loan papers for an underwriter to review and approve) and senior loan officer for Bank of Hawaii; which all led up to being the Branch Manager of Mortgage Associates of Hawaii, a Division of American Pacific Mortgage Corporation. This is when she decided to launch a website related to VA Home Loans for Hawaii. There are so many advantages to using this loan that Tiare wanted to educate and help anyone who is interested and/or qualified to get the VA Loan.
Always continuing her education to better help her clients, Tiare is a member of the Brian Buffini’s Business Coaching Community. This association has given her the ability to develop a nationwide network of loan officers and Realtors to help families as they transition to or from Hawaii. Tiare specializes in home loans for Veterans, the self-employed, and the financially sophisticated clientele.
When asked what she likes best about her work, Tiare says,
“There is nothing more important than educating a client so they’re comfortable with their loan choices. Giving them every tool necessary to make educated, informed decisions is very important to me. And, most of all, I just love helping people.”
As an extra service, her way of saying thank you, Tiare enjoys helping military Vets with special financing. That was the main reason she launched this website. She also supports the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, and the Hawaiian Humane Society; she is a member of Bishop Museum and the Friends of the Waikiki Aquarium and is on the Advisory Council of the Windward Boy’s and Girl’s Club. Professionally, she is President of the Hawaii Association of Mortgage Brokers and is a Board Member and Treasurer of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers and the Kina`ole Chapter of Business Network International.
Tiare is big on families too. Although she was raised as an only child, in the last ten years she has been able to connect with four half-siblings, adding them to her growing family which includes her husband, their two sons and her stepson. When she is not spending time with her husband and sons creating wonderful family memories, you will find her relaxing with a good book or, more likely, actively exploring the ocean while scuba diving. A native of Kona with stops in Las Vegas, San Diego and Yokosuka, Japan, Tiare came home to Hawaii for good in 2000. She and her family reside in Kaneohe with their two dogs (Kahea and Nuku), and three cats. Nuku was adopted from the Hawaiian Humane Society, Sarah is a rescue cat from Japan, and Woogie and Shiloh were rescued from a real-estate transaction where they were part of a litter of six abandoned kittens.
It is fitting that Tiare Fullerton’s daily reminder lies in the words of Mahatma Ghandi:
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” ~ Mahatma Ghandi
